Highbury Hill – Pergola Detail
One of the loveliest features of this north London garden was the presence of a characterful hawthorn, leaning at a slightly alarming angle!
This offered an opportunity to wrap a very simple pergola around the tree, creating separation between the main garden and a potager with fruit cages, a herb and cutting garden, greenhouse and raised beds. Including a seating/dining area within the potager enables home grown vegetables to be eaten fresh from the plot.
